Wooden caskets:
Gene Delecourt of Madison offers beautiful handmade wooden caskets, such as these two shown here.

Northwoods Casket Company out of Beaver Dam has a good line of wooden caskets, as well as a “build your own” casket kit.
Cress Funeral and Cremation Services offers shrouds and cardboard and other caskets.
Shrouds:
Rachel Roang, a renowned local professional seamstress and one of the members of Walking Each Other Home, makes and sells shrouds such as the one pictured below. The shrouds are made from natural linen, and have a sleeve in the back into which you can insert a board to help hold the body straight while lowering into the grave. They sell for $120 for someone up to 5’8″, or $140 for someone up to 6’5″, or special sizes can be ordered. You can contact Rachel at (608) 241-2776.
